Job Title: Business Systems Analyst (BSA) Location: Toronto, ON (hybrid) Duration: Long-term Contract Rate: CAD65-CAD70/hr Overview We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst (BSA) with strong expertise in the Know Your Customer (KYC) domain, data analysis, and solution design. The ideal candidate will bridge business and technology teams by analyzing requirements, defining data mappings, supporting solution design, and driving the successful delivery of strategic initiatives. Key Responsibilities Gather, analyze, and document business and system requirements within the KYC domain. Identify primary and alternate business scenarios and create detailed functional documentation following established standards and templates. Produce comprehensive Data Mapping Specifications and facilitate stakeholder review sessions to ensure alignment and approval. Review Quality Engineering (QE) test cases and provide feedback to ensure business requirements and acceptance criteria are accurately reflected. Understand and evaluate current-state and target-state architecture, including interim and future-state solutions. Lead and facilitate solution design discussions with business, technology, and architecture teams to drive decisions and achieve consensus. Perform hands-on data analysis using production and source system data to investigate business scenarios, identify trends, and validate requirements. Conduct data mining and analysis to support business initiatives, defect resolution, and process improvements. Analyze and understand complex data models and relationships across systems. Develop SQL queries for data validation, impact analysis, and requirement verification. Create functional logic, mappings, and pseudo code documentation for Development and QE teams. Provide timely analysis and resolution support for business inquiries, production issues, and defect investigations. Author Technical Change Requests (TCRs) and coordinate required approvals from leadership and governance stakeholders. Collaborate closely with business users, developers, QA teams, architects, and project stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of KYC (Know Your Customer) processes, regulatory requirements, and customer onboarding workflows. Experience creating Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, Data Mapping Documents, and Technical Change Requests. Strong understanding of system architecture, application integration, and solution design principles. Advanced data analysis and data investigation skills. Strong SQL skills with the ability to query and validate large datasets. Experience working with Agile and/or Waterfall delivery methodologies. Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications and collaborate effectively with development and testing teams. Excellent analytical, communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience in banking, financial services, or regulated environments. Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and regulatory compliance initiatives. Experience supporting production issue analysis and root cause investigations. Knowledge of data warehousing, ETL processes, and enterprise data platforms is an asset.

Requirements
