The Nurse Practitioner blends an in-depth knowledge of nursing with the legal authority and autonomy to order diagnostic tests, prescribe pharmaceuticals and perform specific procedures in the management and treatment of common medical disorders and stable chronic conditions. The RN(NP) practices within a framework of evidence-based primary care, holism, health promotion, and disease and injury prevention. The practice involves building partnerships with individuals, families, and communities. This includes community needs assessments; supporting inter-professional collaboration; and participating in continuous improvements through evaluative processes/projects. Human Resources Exemption: No Experience * Three (3)yrs full-time experience as a Registered Nurse and Emerg Room & /or UCC Education * Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) * Current registration with CRNS and current BCLS certification. Requirements
Candidates must hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BScN) and be registered or eligible for registration with the CRNS as a Nurse Practitioner. A minimum of three years of full-time experience as a Registered Nurse in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting is required.
