Regulated by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan (CPSS), PAs collect and interpret medical information, make appropriate clinical decisions and carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions within a formalized Physician/PA relationship agreement approved by the CPSS. Physician Assistants practice medicine within a formalized relationship with a physician to collect and interpret medical information. They carry out diagnostic and therapeutic interventions while ensuring patient-centered care within a multi-disciplinary team.

Candidates must hold an accredited Physician Assistant degree and be eligible for registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Saskatchewan. Certification as a PA-C or CCPA is required, along with demonstrated competence in English and a commitment to ethical practice.
