Join our growing pack! We are looking for ENTHUSIASTIC and SELF-MOTIVATED individuals who have a love of animals and the outdoors. We go above and beyond for our clients and are looking for this in anyone new joining our team. \* This is a part-time position, for about 7-10 hours a week. \* It is for weekdays between approximately 10 a.m. and 3 p.m., based around your schedule, as long as you have some of that time available. \* Walk dogs around an evening or weekend part time job, or your school schedule. \* Start date last weel of August to meet some dogs, solo walks beginning Sept 1. \* We are only looking for someone who is interested in working for a minimum of six months (preferably longer) and who lives in Guelph. Traveling from a nearby town is not a good fit. \* Please include your AVAILABILITY and DOG HANDLING EXPERIENCE in your cover letter or send a message about it. Priority will be given to applicants who have training experience or who have worked with a variety of types of dogs, and pay will reflect experience and qualifications. Requirements - be available for 7-10hours a week during the day time (10 a.m. and 3 p.m.) - have a reliable vehicle and a smartphone, taking the bus or biking is not an option. - be willing to drive around Guelph to get to clients homes. - have exceptional communication skills and be able to text / email clients after walks, send photos. Prompt communication with the office is essential. - have excellent time management skills and the ability to work independently. - be physically able to walk dogs of all sizes, in all types of weather. We work outside, walking in the heat, rain, and snow, for multiple hours a day. - be reliable, honest, and provide multiple references. - have a current police check, or be willing to get one upon hire. - have a sincere passion for, and significant knowledge of canines and canine behaviour. - at least one year working with or volunteering with dogs. This means more than just owning a family dog.
