Industrial Sewing & Sling Fabrication Technician

We are looking for an Industrial Sewing & Sling Fabrication Technician to join our Operations Team at our Distribution Centre in Long Sault, ON. This isn't clothing alterations or traditional sewing. At Hercules Crane & Lifting Supplies, our production team uses industrial sewing equipment to manufacture heavy-duty synthetic lifting slings used in construction, energy, manufacturing and other industrial applications. If you have experience with industrial sewing, upholstery, canvas, awnings, manufacturing, fabrication or production work, we'd love to hear from you. Never made a lifting sling before? That's okay. We'll train you. We offer a comprehensive compensation and benefits package that includes: * Competitive wage ($20 -22/hour depending on experience) * Generous RRSP matching program 5% * Full health and dental benefits * Industrial sewing and sling fabrication training provided * Great schedule - Monday to Friday 8-5 * Personal & Professional Development Opportunities * Stable, full-time work * Employee parking * Opportunity to build specialized skills in the lifting and rigging industry What you'll be doing You'll work with our production team to manufacture synthetic lifting products safely and accurately, including: * Operating heavy-duty industrial sewing machines * Cutting, measuring and preparing synthetic webbing and materials * Manufacturing polyester web slings and high-performance round slings * Following specifications, measurements and production instructions * Inspecting finished products for quality and accuracy * Applying product identification and tags * Using hand tools and production equipment * Keeping your workstation organized and safe * Learning how lifting products are manufactured, inspected and used This is hands-on work where quality matters. The products you manufacture are used to safely lift and secure heavy loads, so attention to detail is important. The Sewer is responsible for manufacturing, handling, and inspecting web sling and tie-down assemblies to specific requirements. They ensure all products meet quality assurance standards and are completed by planned shipping dates.

Candidates must have a high school diploma and previous experience in industrial sewing. Physical ability to lift 50 lbs and the capacity to work both independently and as part of a team are required.
