As an IT Support Technician, you will be an integral part of a collaborative team focused on delivering seamless services and programs to our clients and customers. What You’ll Be Doing Install and configure computer hardware, operating systems and applications Monitor and maintain computer systems and networks Troubleshoot system and network problems, hardware and software faults, correcting and replacing parts as needed Provide remote support via phone, email and remote diagnostics tools Manage and setup Active Directory users, Exchange users, and VPN users Use JIRA Service Desk system to create, appropriately manage service requests and document reported issues ensuring timely resolutions to the user satisfaction Create and maintain documentation for software installation, configuration and support procedures Assist with supporting Microsoft Windows servers and applications, including: Microsoft Exchange, Active Directory, application servers and file servers Some travel to remote offices may be required What We’re Looking For Minimum 1-2 years of experience in Information Technology operations and/or a combination of education, training and co-op experience. Applications: Thorough understanding of Microsoft Windows Operating Systems, Server Operating Systems and Microsoft Office Suite, VMware, JIRA Service Desk, Bomgar and video conferencing applications Hardware: Solid experience with PC hardware, SonicWall, Aruba wireless networking, HP and Dell switches, Mitel phones, mobile phones, HP printers and MFP devices College degree or diploma in Information Technology Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to work on IT projects with multidisciplinary team members Demonstrated success providing seamless customer service to both internal and external stakeholders Ability to work independently as well as to contribute actively to team objectives Exceptional customer service delivery skills Strong organizational and time management skills Ability to integrate sustainability into IT operations Be accountable and responsible for actions and decisions As part of our commitment to the health and safety of our patients, staff and community from COVID-19, and as required by BC Health Authorities, subject to any accommodation required by applicable human rights legislation, Homewood Ravensview requires that all staff have received all required doses of a COVID-19 vaccine approved by Health Canada. Compensation is influenced by many factors including compensation principles or approach for a role or job function, organizational tenure, experience, qualifications or premium skills, external competitiveness, internal comparability, geography and work performance. The salary for this role is 55,000 to 59,000.
