This role will report to the Managing Director, Head of Sustainable Investing. In this role, you will contribute to strengthening the resilience of the investment portfolio through strong delivery of the three SI pillars: Sustainable Insights, Sustainable Opportunities, and a Sustainable Portfolio. You will bring exceptional analytical skills, a collaborative approach, and a strong drive to deliver sustainable investment outcomes for HOOPP. What You Will Do Conduct research and quantitative analysis on sustainability-related themes to generate actionable insights across the total portfolio. Support climate scenario analysis, stress-testing and portfolio analytics. Develop dashboards, analytical tools and data visualizations to support the integration of sustainability factors into investment decision-making and portfolio monitoring. Gather and analyze quantitative and qualitative information to support portfolio-level and system-level stewardship activities, including engagement and proxy voting. Contribute to the ongoing implementation of the investment climate strategy, including climate data collection and analysis, assessment of decarbonization plans, and identification of climate investment opportunities. Identify and monitor emerging sustainability topics and leading sustainable investing practices globally. Apply AI-enabled tools, advanced analytics and automation techniques to improve investment research, due diligence, portfolio monitoring and reporting. What You Will Bring Ability to synthesize sustainability, macroeconomic, market, and investment data into actionable recommendations that support total portfolio risk management and long-term value creation Ability to evaluate how sustainability-related factors may influence portfolio resilience and asset-level expected returns and capital allocation decisions across multiple asset classes. Experience with climate scenario analysis, risk metrics, financial modeling, and sensitivity analysis. Familiarity with generative AI and AI-assisted analytical tools to enhance research, analysis, workflow automation and knowledge management. A proactive approach with a demonstrated ability to continually improve outcomes and deliver high quality results A demonstrated passion for sustainability and investment management Completion of a university degree(s) in Business, Finance, Engineering, Environmental Science, or other relevant area Minimum of two years of experience in institutional investing, sustainable investing, consulting or another analytical investment role. Alignment with HOOPP’s core values: accountable, compassionate, and trustworthy The expected annual base salary range for this role is: $76,000 - $124,000 CAD The actual base salary offered to the successful candidate may vary based on multiple factors including, but not limited to, individual's expertise and level of experience applicable to the role they are being offered. This role is eligible to participate in discretionary incentive plan(s), subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable incentive plan text. This job is for an existing vacancy. Requirements
