Communications Manage rOur national public sector client is seeking an experienced Communications Manager for this 6-month assignment to support its public voice, media relations, digital communications, and audience engagement. This is a hands-on role for a flexible and agile communications professional who can move quickly between strategy and execution . Reporting to the Director of Communications and Marketing, you will develop and deliver communications across web, social media, media relations, events, and executive messaging. You will create clear and compelling copy, support social media strategy and engagement, maintain consistent brand messaging, and help the organization respond to emerging issues across the federal landscap e. Key Responsibilit iesDevelop and execute communications, media relations, and social media plans that support organizational prioriti es.Write and edit compelling content for web, social media, media materials, executive remarks, and other communications channe ls.Build audience engagement across social platforms and monitor performance, trends, and relevant issu es.Coordinate media interviews, announcements, press conferences, events, and relationships with media partne rs.Maintain consistent brand messaging and manage communications vendors, timelines, and deliverabl es. Qualificat ionsFluently bilingual in English and French, both written and verbal, is an a ssetDemonstrated experience in communications, media relations, public relations, or a related a rea.Experience working within the federal landscape, or with a national organization, is strongly prefer red.Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt tone and content for different audiences and platfo rms.Demonstrated experience developing social media strategy and building meaningful online engagem ent.Experience supporting senior leaders with speaking remarks, media preparation, and public-facing communicati ons.Proficiency with communications and digital tools such as Microsoft Office, WordPress, Canva, and Adobe applicati ons.
