About The Role We are looking for an experienced Account Manager with strong professional business relationship-building skills, time management and organization skills to thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Account Manager will take ownership of an established book of business, addressing daily client requests while delivering accurate and timely coverage advice. This is an ideal role for a strong team player who is organized, detail-oriented, and committed to support HUB’s small business growth strategy within the SME Department. What You’ll Do Manage and grow an existing book of small business commercial accounts, serving as the primary day-to-day client contact Prepare and process insurance submissions, policy changes and renewals accurately and efficiently Negotiate with insurers for coverage and pricing to provide the best possible client solution. Establish and maintain strong rapport with internal stakeholders, carrier partners/underwriters and clients Ensure Account Receivables are collected in a timely manner. Advocate for clients during claims process; Engage claims team on critical claims matters. Fulfil new business growth and client retention targets. Support and promote cross-sell/up-sell initiatives. Provide additional support to the SME Team as required including but not limited to vacation back-up, overflow renewals, program support Qualifications and expertise that pave the way for Success RIBO (Registered Insurance Broker of Ontario) license Required Typically, 3+ years of industry, or product line experience preferably in commercial risk setting Client-focused with the ability to deliver positive customer experience Professional interpersonal and, communication skills both written and verbal Effective organizational and time management skills Responsive with a sense of urgency and ability to adapt to changing priorities Self-started with a genuine passion for new business and opportunities to close sales Team player with the ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders and clients Elevate Your Career with HUB International Choosing HUB International means aligning your career with a premier insurance brokerage. The compensation for this position is a variable compensation structure, i.e., base salary plus commission. As such, the total compensation earned will vary depending on the successful candidate’s book of business at a particular time. The expected base salary for this position is $40,000-$60,000. The total compensation will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
