THE JOB The Bookkeeping Clerk is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Hy-Tech Drilling group of companies, including Hy-Tech Drilling USA. Working closely with the Assistant Controller, Canada, this role maintains accurate financial records, processes accounts payable, completes government remittances, and assists with financial reporting. Responsibilities include: * Provide bookkeeping services to assigned Hy-Tech group companies. * Prepare adjusting journal entries as required. * Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting, reviewing, and analyzing account information. * Complete monthly general ledger entries and account reconciliations for assigned Canadian and U.S. companies. * Perform monthly bank reconciliations for assigned Canadian and U.S. entities. * Prepare and submit monthly and quarterly GST and PST filings. * Maintain accurate and complete supporting documentation for all financial transactions. * Identify potential risks and internal control concerns and bring them to the attention of the Controller, Canada. * Assist with year-end file preparation and provide support during audit and year-end processes. * Support inventory system data entry, maintenance, and process improvements as required. * Collaborate with the Controller and Assistant Controller to provide accurate and timely financial information. THE SETTING This position is open to be based out of our Saskatoon Branch location in SK. THE SCHEDULE Standard working hours are 8:00am – 5:00pm Monday to Friday. There will also be some requirements to be available after hours and on weekends during busy times. EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS * 3-5 years of experience in a Bookkeeping or Accounting role. * Post secondary courses in Bookkeeping or Accounting would be preferred. * Experience working in a multi-company environment, construction, mining, drilling, or other industrial sectors is considered an asset. * Knowledge of federal and provincial filing requirements for GST & PST. * Must have a valid Driver’s Licence and provide a current Driver’s Abstract annually. * Must be able to provide a Criminal Record Check upon request.
