Events Services Server is responsible for the entire set-up, serving and clearing of Banquet rooms, service the guest and provide excellent customer service. This person must have good communication skills as well as the ability to lift, pull and push moderate weight. This is a fast-paced position with continual customer contact. Other duties include general events preparation and maintaining a sanitary environment (Event service station setups, stock replenishment, equipment organization and cleaning). Candidate must be available to work flexible shifts including weekends and holidays. Shifts could either be opening shifts (AM, MID or PM) which start at 5:00am and/or closing shifts until 2.00AM. Starting wage for this position is $19.55 per hour, after 6 months wage is $22.80 per hour, after 1 year wage is $26.06 per hour. Qualifications Qualifications Must have a true desire to satisfy the needs of others in a fast-paced environment Previous customer service experience required Previous food and beverage experience in events is an asset Must have Food Safe Level 1 and Serving It Right certificate Must be available to work various shifts (AM, MID or PM) including weekends and holidays Must be an excellent team player and able to work with a diverse group of individuals and guests Must be able to engage customers in a professional conversation at all times Must be able to prioritize Must be excellent in multi-tasking Must have refined verbal communication skills
