ABOUT THE ROLE We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Account Clerk to join our finance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity for an accounting professional looking to grow their experience in a fast-paced and collaborative environment. The successful candidate will provide day-to-day accounting support, with a focus on accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, expense tracking, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate is someone who is comfortable working with numbers, has strong attention to detail, and is eager to develop their accounting skills. POSITION DETAILS Type: Full-Time, Permanent Location: On-Site (5-days / week) in Downtown Toronto Hours: Full-Time Experience: 1 – 3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Assist with day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities Process accounts payable (entering vendor bills to appropriate accounts, scheduling payments) and accounts receivable (manual and automated client invoicing, recording receipts) Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records Assist with month-end procedures and account reconciliations Prepare basic financial reports and accounting schedules as required Assist with GST/HST tracking and related accounting records Review financial transactions and identify discrepancies or missing information Assist with payroll-related accounting entries and documentation as required Support the finance team with general accounting and administrative tasks Communicate with internal team members, vendors, and external accountants as needed Ensure accounting records are maintained in accordance with company policies and procedures REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS 2–5 years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, accounts payable/receivable, or a related role Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field is an asset Basic understanding of accounting principles and double-entry bookkeeping Strong attention to detail and accuracy Strong organizational and time management skills Comfortable working with numbers and financial information Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines Strong written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a team Professional, reliable, and eager to learn NICE TO HAVE Experience with QuickBooks Online and/or NetSuite Experience with Plooto/Expensify Having operated in a multi-currency environment, AP/AR subledgers Previous experience assisting with month-end close procedures, preparing various types of month-end reconciliations WHAT WE OFFER Competitive salary commensurate with experience Full-time, permanent employment Collaborative and supportive team environment Opportunity to develop and expand your accounting skills Working closely with an experienced CFO and executive team, getting exposure to US GAAP and an ERP implementation Opportunity to make a meaningful contribution to the finance team Conveniently located office at Bay & Wellington Office kitchen stocked with healthy snacks and caffeine to keep you going To apply, please submit your resume outlining your relevant accounting experience.
