Guidewire Developer/ Lead Location: Markham, ON Model: Hybrid (3 Days Onsite (Mon/ Tues/ Wed)) Job Type: Full time CAD 130-140K Skills: Must have Integration Experience PC, CC(Must have), BC(Good to have) Basic Certification is must Job Description: As a Senior Guidewire ClaimCenter Integration Developer, you will be responsible for leading the design and implementation of Integration solutions within our organization and with third party applications. You will play a pivotal role in driving our cloud transformation agenda, ensuring that we use Guidewire Cloud capabilities to improve our Claim’s workflows. What you’ll do • Build technical diagrams / design documents. • Write programs, configure / package / deploy software. • Perform peer code reviews. • Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions. • Design and implement functional requirements and integrations with external systems. • Ensure standard methodologies are followed in code development, testing, and deployment. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement. • Consult on technical aspects of Guidewire upgrades and patches. • Resolve and address complex technical issues promptly. • Monitor system performance and recommend improvements to enhance functionality. What you’ll bring • Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other related fields, or equivalent experience. • 5+ years proven experience in Guidewire ClaimCenter Integration Development • Expertise in GOSU Language, configuration and coding using Guidewire tools and accelerators, Guidewire Batch, and Guidewire predefined plugins. • Read code in other languages and reverse engineer products. • Agile software development, including the use of Git, Bitbucket, Jenkins, Jira, Confluence, etc. • Domain knowledge on Property & Casualty Insurance • 5+ years of Guidewire development experience. • 5+ years of experience with coding Gosu Language • Expertise in the end-to-end design and development of business database applications. • Experience building modern web applications and designing Web APIs with REST/JSON. • In-depth understanding of design thinking and customer-centric development. Must have: • Guidewire Associate Certification. • Guidewire ClaimCenter / ContactManager experience. • Experience working on Guidewire Cloud • Hands-on experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter. Proficiency in designing, developing, and managing Guidewire ClaimCenter features and capabilities. • Familiarity with Guidewire Cloud Tools: TeamCity, Bitbucket, DataDog, Guidewire Home. • Understanding Guidewire Messaging Engine: Message Queues, Message Transports, Plugins. • 5+ years of experience with relational databases • Experience in implementing Cloud APIs/WebServices Nice to have: • Guidewire Ace Certification. • Guidewire ClaimCenter /ContactManager/PolicyCenter Center Integration Knowledge. • Experience writing automated GUnit tests for integrations using Guidewire data builders. • Experience upgrading Guidewire Cloud versions. • Experience handling Guidewire Cloud Assurance Reports and leading the resolution.
