Demonstrates rigor, analytical ability, autonomy, and intellectual curiosity. Proficiency in Excel as well as an interest in data analysis tools such as Python, R, SQL, or Power BI are considered assets. Communicates effectively in French, both verbally and in writing. Has an intermediate level of English in order to communicate daily with certain internal partners and consult specialized documentation. Individual Life Insurance Contribute to the core of iA’s insurance operations by participating in the development, enhancement, and management of individual insurance products serving millions of Canadians. Assignments may involve product profitability, competitiveness, the development of new solutions, as well as the analyses and calculations required for financial statement preparation. Group Insurance, Savings and Retirement The group sector includes teams that contribute to sound financial management, pricing, and the development of insurance and savings solutions for groups and organizations. Interns may participate in experience, risk, and performance analyses, group case pricing, and continuous improvement projects involving tools, processes, and data. Individual Pension Plans Support clients with individual pension plans by providing administration, actuarial, and consulting services. Assignments may include preparing funding and accounting actuarial valuations, producing benefit statements, supporting clients and external partners, and onboarding new clients. Investments, Actuarial Finance and Individual Savings Work at the intersection of investments, finance, and actuarial science. Projects include asset performance analysis, automation of financial processes, development of analytical tools, and preparation of reports that support strategic decision-making. This family of teams is particularly suited to students interested in investments, financial modeling, and performance analysis. Data Science, Analytics and Artificial Intelligence Apply your programming, advanced analytics, and data science skills to solve real business problems. Predictive model development, automation, data visualization, artificial intelligence, and process optimization are among the many opportunities available. Auto and Home Insurance The auto and home insurance sector includes teams that contribute to product profitability and competitiveness. Interns may participate in portfolio performance analysis, the development and enhancement of pricing models, strategic market and competitor monitoring, as well as reserve evaluation and financial results analysis.
