Associate Wealth Advisor - Tax & Estate Planning Specialist Peterborough, ON | Full-Time | Established Advisory Practice Are you an experienced tax professional looking to take your career beyond tax compliance and into comprehensive wealth, tax, and estate planning? Join a highly respected advisory practice that has served successful families, professionals, business owners, and retirees throughout Peterborough and the Kawarthas for over 30 years. This is a unique opportunity for a tax professional from a local accounting or tax firm who wants to leverage their technical expertise while building deeper client relationships and becoming a trusted advisor. As our Tax & Estate Planning Specialist, you will work directly with an established client base, helping clients navigate complex tax planning opportunities, retirement strategies, business succession, wealth transfer, and intergenerational estate planning. You will play a key role in growing the practice while expanding your influence beyond annual tax filings into year-round strategic planning. What You Will Do Advanced Tax & Wealth Planning Develop tax-efficient strategies for individuals, families, incorporated professionals, and business owners. Identify opportunities related to retirement income planning, corporate structures, estate freezes, charitable giving, and intergenerational wealth transfer. Collaborate in the preparation and delivery of comprehensive wealth plans. Review client tax situations and proactively identify planning opportunities throughout the year. Client Relationship Management Meet with prospective and existing clients to discuss tax, estate, retirement, and wealth planning strategies. Build trusted relationships that extend beyond annual tax engagements. Serve as a key resource for clients and their professional advisors. Help clients make informed decisions regarding their long-term financial goals. Business Development Develop relationships with business owners, professionals, and centres of influence. Leverage existing networks to generate new planning opportunities. Participate in community outreach and marketing initiatives. Contribute to the continued growth of a well-established and respected practice. What You Bring Required Experience in tax preparation, tax planning, accounting, or financial services. Strong understanding of personal and corporate taxation principles. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain trusted client relationships. Exceptional communication and presentation skills. Entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a business and professional practice. Preferred CPA designation or progression toward CPA. CFP®, QAFP®, PFP®, TEP, CPA, or related planning designation. Experience working with incorporated business owners and high-net-worth families. Existing network within Peterborough and the surrounding Kawartha region. CIRO licensing or willingness to obtain required licensing. LLQP obtained within six months of hire. Compensation & Growth Opportunity Competitive base compensation.
