Locations: Durham, County Durham, GB Salary £38000 - £45000 per annum Description Are you an experienced Commissioning Engineer with a background in ventilation, HVAC or building services? Impact Recruitment are recruiting for an exciting opportunity as a Commissioning Engineer with a client who specialise in low-energy and sustainable HVAC solutions. Our client are at the forefront of sustainable building technology and the business continues to invest heavily in research and development. As the business continues to grow, they are looking for multiple experienced Commissioning Engineers to join the field-based engineering team. Location: Field Based looking after the North East Region Salary: £38,000 - £45,000 (depending on experience) Hours: Monday-Friday 8 hours per day (with regular overtime) You are paid door to door Duties You will be required to occasionally stay away Responsible for commissioning, maintaining and troubleshooting ventilation and HVAC products. You will work closely with end users, contractors and other stakeholders to ensure systems are operating safely, efficiently and to the required quality standards. Test ventilation and HVAC systems on customer sites. Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and routine servicing. Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical faults. Conduct system performance checks and ensure equipment is operating efficiently. Ensure all work is completed in accordance with company health & safety and quality procedures. Complete commissioning reports, service documentation and other required paperwork accurately. Travel to customer sites throughout the UK, with occasional overnight stays where required. Requirements Must have a strong electrical background Preferably have an understanding of ventilation systems and HVAC. Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills. A good understanding of health & safety requirements when working on construction and customer sites. Experience working independently in a field-based engineering environment. Good communication and customer-facing skills. Strong attention to detail, particularly when completing reports and technical documentation. Qualifications Required NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Electrical Installation or a related discipline. CSCS Card SSSTS or SMSTS certification - desirable. 18th Edition qualification - desirable. Full UK driving licence - essential.
