This energetic position involves safely transporting waste containers and recycling totes to designated spaces for collection, in the lane or to the curb. Responsibilities Safely operate your vehicle when hauling garbage containers and recycling totes in and outside of buildings. Perform heavy lifting to load and unload waste containers, ensuring secure placement for collection. Follow established safety protocols for driving and handling waste materials to prevent accidents or injuries. Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and hauling equipment to maintain optimal safety standards. Collaborate with team members to coordinate collection schedules and ensure timely service. Communicate effectively with supervisors and team members regarding any operational issues or safety concerns. Experience Prior experience in the sanitation industry preferred but not required; training will be provided. Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including heavy moving/lifting Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record is essential; must have a vehicle with a 2-inch receiver. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety procedures. Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude towards collaborative work environments.
