Job summary
Position Summary The General Labourer supports daily production activities in the pallet manufacturing facility by assisting with lumber cutting, pallet assembly, and general material handling. This role requires a strong focus on safety, quality, and teamwork in a physically demanding work environment. Key Responsibilities Assist with cutting lumber and basic saw operations after training. Assemble wooden pallets using nail guns and hand tools. Accurately measure materials and follow production instructions. Stack and organize lumber and finished pallets safely. Perform basic quality checks and report issues to a supervisor. Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of hazards. Follow all safety rules, workplace policies, and supervisor instructions. Work cooperatively with team members to meet daily production goals. Qualifications Ability to read a tape measure and follow instructions. Willingness to learn and perform hands-on production tasks. Physically able to perform repetitive lifting, bending, and standing. Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team. Previous experience in general labour, manufacturing, or woodworking is an asset but not required. Health and Safety Compliance All duties must be performed in compliance with the Workers Compensation Act and WorkSafeBC Occupational Health and Safety Regulation. Employer-provided PPE must be worn at all times. Follow safe work procedures and report hazards or injuries immediately..
