Job summary

Role - GCP DevOps Engineer Location - Canada Work mode - Remote Role Summary Responsible for designing, automating, and supporting cloud infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for multiple client environments. Ensures high reliability, performance, and secure operations across distributed systems using DevOps and SRE best practices Key Responsibilities DevOps & Automation Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins/GitLab/Azure DevOps). Implement Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform/Ansible. Automate provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows. Cloud & Infrastructure Management Manage multi-cloud or client-specific environments (AWS/Azure/GCP). Handle VMs, storage, networking, load balancers, firewalls, and VPN setups. Optimize capacity and costs across client infrastructure. SRE & Reliability Engineering Define and monitor SLOs/SLIs for client systems. Ensure availability, scalability, and performance of critical services. Drive incident response, root cause analysis, and preventive actions. Implement failover, backup, and disaster recovery strategies. Containerization & Kubernetes Deploy and support Docker & Kubernetes workloads (AKS/EKS/GKE). Manage cluster upgrades, scaling, and security controls. Handle Helm charts, ingress controllers, and GitOps workflows (ArgoCD). Monitoring & Observability Configure monitoring, logging, and alerting using Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog, New Relic, etc. Build dashboards for client reporting and SLA tracking. Security & Compliance Implement DevSecOps practices: vulnerability scans, image scanning, secrets management. Enforce IAM policies, RBAC controls, security groups, network segmentation. Support audits and compliance (ISO 27001, SOC2, client-specific standards). Client & Team Collaboration Act as a technical SME for client engagements. Work closely with development, QA, and support teams to ensure smooth releases. Prepare documentation, runbooks, and provide mentorship to junior engineers. Required Technical Skills Strong in AWS/Azure/GCP cloud services. Terraform, Ansible, ARM/CloudFormation. CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps. Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, GitOps. Linux administration, Python/Bash scripting. Networking: VPC/VNet, DNS, LB, SSL, routing. Monitoring: Prometheus, Grafana, ELK/EFK, Datadog. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field: Preferred Certifications : AWS/Azure/GCP DevOps or Architect, CKA/CKAD Google cloud engineer certification
