Title: ONSITE OPERATIONS COORDINATOR (Aerospace & Defense) Location: Montreal, Quebec, Canada Full-Time/Permanent Job Description: REPORTING P&WC CoE Head (Offshore) / Canada Operations Leader (Onsite) LANGUAGE High proficiency in French mandatory; professional English (Verbal & Written) PROFILE Business / Engineering graduate; aerospace experience preferred ROLE PURPOSE Serve as Cyient’s onsite face in Québec, bridging customer stakeholders, Canadian regulatory authorities, and offshore delivery teams. Coordinate day-to-day operations, understand and relay escalations and opportunities, enable issue resolution, and maintain disciplined governance and compliance follow-through. CORE RESPONSIBILITIES · Act as the first point of contact for day-to-day onsite operational matters and maintain trusted customer relationships. · Coordinate closely with offshore managers and project teams to clarify priorities, communicate concerns, and drive issue resolution. · Understand escalations, assess operational impact, maintain ownership and action logs, and relay critical matters promptly to offshore and account leadership. · Identify account opportunities, capture customer needs, position relevant Cyient capabilities, and support discussions using strong influencing and negotiation skills. · Coordinate governance meetings and maintain project administration, dashboards, minutes, action trackers, risk registers, and periodic reports. · Coordinate workforce matters, employee engagement, local staffing needs, labor-leasing candidate positioning, interviews, onboarding, and utilization follow-up. SUCCESS MEASURES · Timely closure of operational actions and escalations. · Clear, accurate, and punctual governance reporting. · Strong onsite-offshore alignment and stakeholder satisfaction. · Qualified growth opportunities identified and progressed. · Compliance submissions and approvals tracked to closure. COMPLIANCE & GOVERNMENT COORDINATION · Coordinate with Cyient legal, trade-compliance, security, HR, and customer teams for Controlled Goods Program / Controlled Goods Directorate (CGP/CGD), ITAR, export-control, and personnel security requirements. · Serve as the operational liaison for Canadian government and customer compliance interactions, while ensuring formal submissions and legal interpretations remain with authorized compliance specialists. · Coordinate applications, renewals, supporting documentation, screening inputs, acknowledgments, and related approvals for eligible personnel and facilities. · Maintain a controlled tracker for submission status, validity/renewal dates, evidence, dependencies, owners, and approvals; protect personal and controlled information. · Proactively flag missing documents, approval delays, access risks, or potential non-compliance and escalate through established channels. · Support government/customer audits and internal reviews by coordinating evidence, responses, corrective actions, and closure records. · Ensure associates receive required compliance briefings before access or assignment and coordinate access removal when roles change or employment ends. QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE · Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Management, Engineering, or a related discipline; a business graduate is preferred. · Experience in aerospace, defense, engineering services, manufacturing, or another regulated technical environment is preferred. · Experience in customer-facing operations, account coordination, project administration, or onsite-offshore delivery coordination. · Exposure to CGP/CGD, ITAR, export-control, personnel screening, or customer security processes is preferred. MANDATORY CAPABILITIES · High proficiency in French, spoken and written, is mandatory. · Professional proficiency in English for regular coordination with global and offshore teams. · Stakeholder management, negotiation, influencing, issue resolution, disciplined follow-up, and concise business reporting. · Working proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, and operational tracking tools; Power BI exposure is an advantage.
