Application Developer – FASAT / Advisor Compensation Role Overview Seeking an experienced Application Developer to support the development, enhancement and ongoing production support of Advisor Compensation applications within a large financial services environment. The role combines hands-on FASAT development with application maintenance, testing, troubleshooting and production support. The successful candidate will work across the full application lifecycle, from requirements and design through development, testing, production implementation and ongoing support. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, integrate, test and maintain Advisor Compensation applications. Perform hands-on FASAT development and application enhancements. Analyze business and technical requirements and translate them into effective application solutions. Develop and execute application test plans. Provide ongoing production support, application monitoring and performance tuning. Troubleshoot production incidents and application issues. Participate in an incident-monitoring rotation. Perform root-cause analysis and develop permanent solutions to recurring application problems. Scope, develop and implement application fixes and enhancements. Support application releases and transition changes into production. Maintain technical documentation, development standards and application knowledge. Partner with project teams and provide technical/application consulting support. Manage assigned development work while collaborating with technical and business teams. Must-Have Qualifications Hands-on FASAT development experience. Application development and production support experience. Strong understanding of software development and design methodologies. Experience with software requirements analysis and solution design. Experience developing and executing application test plans. Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience supporting business-critical applications in production. Understanding of technology project methodologies, processes and practices. Strong technical documentation skills. Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team. Degree/diploma in Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Nice-to-Have Advisor compensation or financial services application experience. Experience with job scheduling tools. Experience with file transfer technologies/tools. Application monitoring and performance-tuning experience. Experience supporting applications within insurance or financial services.
