Job details

This role is focused on independent review and effective challenge of Control Testing activities across business units and support functions. It converts testing results into clear insights for senior management and supports effective oversight of the organization's control environment. Typical Day-to-Day Responsibilities Provide independent second-line review and effective challenge of Control Testing activities and outcomes across business units and support functions. Assess whether control testing scope, methodology, sample selection, procedures, evidence and conclusions are appropriate, complete and supported. Challenge the quality and consistency of control effectiveness ratings, identified deficiencies and management responses. Evaluate whether testing results appropriately reflect the underlying risk, control objective, business context and potential impact. Identify recurring themes, systemic control weaknesses, concentration risks and emerging issues across the Control Testing portfolio. Deliver concise, decision-useful insights and reporting to senior management and relevant risk committees, and escalate material matters through appropriate governance channels. Provide credible challenge on remediation plans arising from control testing, including whether actions address the underlying control weakness and whether closure evidence is sufficient. Partner with business, control and enterprise stakeholders to promote consistent interpretation and application of Control Testing requirements while maintaining independent second-line oversight. Provide subject-matter expertise and risk-based advice on Control Testing matters without assuming program ownership or first-line execution responsibilities.
