This position is a hybrid role based in our Mississauga office where you will work 3 days in the office and 2 days remotely. Responsibilities: Full responsibility over the revenue recognition cycle across our hardware, software, and service offerings, including partnering with GTM teams to design proper rev rec processes on any new commercial model. Manage revenue accounting under ASC 606/IFRS 15, Review customer contracts and revenue schedules, partners with FP&A on margin reporting. Facilitate & consolidate the transition of accounting processes. Coordinating aspects of the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close activities. Helping the Controller to prepare financial statements and management reports. Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statements. Analyze financial results and explain variances. Ensuring compliance with IFRS/GAAP, tax, and internal SOX control requirements. Partnering with the Controller & Tax team to coordinate internal and external audits. Supervising accounting staff and driving process improvements, monitor and coach local and offshore support team. Supporting ERP and financial systems initiatives. Drive process improvements and finance automation (AI/Looker, Alteryx) initiatives. What you bring to the role: College degree in Finance, Business (or additional relevant experience in a related field). Minimum 8+ years of experience in Finance and accounting. Combination of Big 4 and industry experience, public company reporting experience is preferred. CPA preferred or equivalent knowledge and experience. ERP Experience: Well versed in systems implementations, experience in SAP and Onestream. Experience managing global accounting teams. Process focused, well versed in SOX and IFRS standards. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Driven team player with a collaborative approach and a strong focus on results. *This is not a complete listing of the job duties. The ranges above reflects the potential annual starting base pay across all of Canada for all roles. Individual base pay within each range depends on various factors, including work location, complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. This role is a new role and will not use AI for screening applicants. Candidates must possess a college degree in Finance or Business and at least 8 years of relevant accounting experience, with a preference for CPA certification and Big 4 background. Strong proficiency in ERP systems like SAP and Onestream, along with deep knowledge of SOX and IFRS standards, is required.
