Position Overview The Inland Group of Companies is seeking an Accounting Co-op Student for a 4-month contract term based at our Truro, NS Headquarters. Reporting to the Accounting Manager, this position provides hands-on experience within the accounting department of a multinational organization. The successful candidate will support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Corporate Accounting functions while contributing to month-end activities, audits, and special projects. Location: Truro HQ, NS Essential Duties And Responsibilities (Including But Not Limited To) Support Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams with daily transaction processing and related activities Assist the Corporate Accounting team with routine accounting functions and administrative support Participate in month-end close activities, including preparation of journal entries and account reconciliations Support internal and external audit processes by gathering documentation and responding to requests Assist with accounting-related projects and process improvement initiatives as assigned Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and environmental commitments Promote a respectful, collaborative, and team-oriented work environment Adhere to company policies and maintain a high standard of integrity, efficiency, and professionalism Required Skills And Experience Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook Strong attention to detail and accuracy Ability to prioritize work effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team Willingness to learn new skills and expand accounting knowledge Strong communication and organizational skills Currently enrolled in a post-secondary accounting or related business program Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information professionally Minimum GPA requirement of 3.0 The Inland Group of Companies is committed to providing equal employment opportunities to all applicants and employees without discrimination based on protected grounds under applicable legislation.
