General Labourer, Timmins, When you join our team as a General Labourer, reporting to the team leader, you will perform various production-related tasks. This posting is for an existing vacancy. What You’ll Do Stack and classify pieces of wood and operate different workstations from a control console on a rotational basis depending on production needs and the workstation. Use hand tools for proper safe intervention with production line. Follow all safety procedures and protocols related to position. Verify the quality of wood in transit and ensure compliance with Interfor’s quality standards. Clean your workstation. Train less experienced staff as needed. Perform any other related duties as requested by your immediate supervisor. What You Offer Completed secondary school diploma (SSD). Have at least one (1) year of experience as a labourer. Forklift certification is an asset. Must be willing to take training on the different workstations. Thoroughness, initiative, sense of responsibility, and independence. Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination. Teamwork and organizational skills. Good execution speed and a concern for health and safety. Additional Information Day Shift: Monday to Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Night Shift: 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. Friday Shifts: Occasional Mandatory OT, offered first to high seniority and next assigned to low seniority depending on shift needs.
