Our client, is a technology leader in electrification and automation is looking for a short term Mechanical Designer for their ongoing project. In this role, you will have the opportunity to act as a design authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Each day, you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects in a cost-effective manner. You will also showcase your expertise by applying basic design thinking/design for excellence concepts in projects Responsibilities: Evaluating, selecting, and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments. Providing technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities. Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of engineering projects. Utilizing checklists to perform design verification according to applicable standards and engineering guidelines. Qualifications: You are immersed in Mechanical Design Engineering team in Switchgear business You have 2 to 5 years of experience in Mechanical Design of MV Switchgear (GIS) You have hands on experience in SheetMetal Design and Preparing engineering drawings and Bill of Material (BOM) Possess an enhanced knowledge of SolidWorks (3D) & AutoCAD Degree in Mechanical engineering (should be full time) Great communication Employment Rewards: Short term opportunity Day shift- on site Excellent work experience provided. Requires 2 to 5 years of mechanical design experience with medium-voltage GIS switchgear, including hands-on sheet metal design and preparation of engineering drawings and bills of materials. Applicants must have a full-time mechanical engineering degree, strong SolidWorks 3D and AutoCAD skills, and good communication skills.
