Licensed Optician / Optical Manager – Burlington, Ontario Iris & Oak is looking for an experienced, motivated Licensed Optician to join our new boutique optical location in Burlington. We are not looking for someone who simply wants to dispense glasses. We are looking for an all-rounder who wants to help build, operate and grow a boutique business. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced optician who enjoys working independently, taking ownership and eventually functioning as a key manager within the practice. What we're looking for Registered/Licensed Optician in good standing in Ontario Strong dispensing and optical knowledge Confident with frame and lens selection Accurate measurements, adjustments, repairs and troubleshooting Experience with progressive, multifocal and specialty lenses Comfortable dealing with labs, suppliers and insurance Excellent customer service and sales ability Organized and capable of managing day-to-day optical operations Comfortable helping with inventory, frame buying and merchandising Able to work independently without constant supervision Interested in helping develop systems, processes and workflow Someone who treats the business like their own and wants to see it grow The role You will be involved in much more than dispensing.
