JOB DESCRIPTION We are seeking a Payroll Specialist to join a dynamic and fast-growing global organization undergoing significant transformation across systems and operational processes This role will be supporting high-volume Canada and U.S. payroll operations within a fast-paced, transforming global environment. Responsible for accurate, timely payroll execution, with strong focus on ADP Workforce Now, system integration, tax compliance, and operational excellence. Salary Range - $70,000- $80,000 Responsibilities Key Responsibilities Payroll Processing & Compliance Process bi-weekly payroll across Canada and U.S. (hourly and salaried) Validate payroll data (earnings, deductions, garnishments, adjustments) Assist on year-end and statutory reporting (T4, RL-1, W-2, accruals) Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations Maintain strict confidentiality of sensitive employee data Data Integration & Reconciliation Import, balance, and validate timekeeping data into payroll systems Process pensions, RRSP/401(k), and employer contributions Reconcile payroll, vendor, and benefit deductions; resolve discrepancies HR & Stakeholder Coordination Partner with HR on employee data changes (hires, terminations, updates) Support inquiries from employees and internal stakeholders Coordinate special payments, bonuses, and off-cycle runs Projects & Continuous Improvement Support payroll projects (data validation, UAT, system integration) Maintain SOPs, desktop procedures, KPIs, and issue logs Contribute to process improvements and system optimization initiatives Qualifications Skills & Competencies Payroll Expertise: Strong Canadian payroll knowledge; foundational U.S. payroll Systems: Advanced ADP Workforce Now; strong HRIS and Excel capability Execution: High-volume accuracy under tight deadlines Collaboration: Clear communication and strong stakeholder alignment Ownership: Organized self-starter with accountability for delivery Continuous Improvement: Curious, proactive, and change-adaptive Qualifications & Experience 3+ years high-volume Canadian payroll experience; 1+ year U.S. exposure Experience in complex environments (e.g., Mining or Manufacturing preferred) Advanced ADP WFN; Oracle ERP exposure is an asset Post-secondary education in Business Administration or related area ; PCP/PLP certified preferred
