We’re excited to share an opportunity for an existing vacancy with a large, highly automated automotive manufacturer operating multiple facilities across Cambridge and Woodstock. The company has a long-standing presence in Ontario manufacturing and is known for its advanced automation, robotics, continuous improvement culture, and large multidisciplinary maintenance teams. These openings are being driven by retirements, creating an opportunity for experienced tradespeople to join a well-established operation with strong long-term infrastructure and technical depth. Role Overview As a Licensed Industrial Electrician, you’ll support the reliability and performance of highly automated production equipment while responding to breakdowns, completing preventative maintenance, and helping identify opportunities to improve equipment performance. You’ll work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where electrical, mechanical, and automation systems often overlap. What It Offers $59.25–$65.17/hour, depending on shift premiums Weekly 3-shift rotation Defined Contribution Pension Plan Comprehensive health and benefit package Annual bonus opportunities 4 weeks of vacation to start Paid overtime Ongoing technical training and development Company-provided tools, safety equipment, and workwear support Responsibilities Troubleshoot and repair electrical and automated production equipment Respond to breakdowns and restore equipment safely and efficiently Perform preventative maintenance on robotics, conveyors, presses, motors, drives, and related equipment Troubleshoot PLC-controlled systems, sensors, VFDs, and industrial controls Read and interpret electrical schematics and technical drawings Work alongside other skilled trades in a multidisciplinary maintenance environment Support equipment improvements, installations, and continuous improvement initiatives Qualifications Valid 442A or 309A Electrician Certificate of Qualification through Skilled Trades Ontario Completion of a registered Electrician apprenticeship or equivalent licensed experience 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment Strong PLC troubleshooting experience Experience with VFDs, motors, sensors, industrial controls, and automated machinery Ability to read electrical schematics and troubleshoot complex equipment Available to work a weekly 3-shift rotation Able to work at either the Cambridge or Woodstock facility If you are interested in learning more about the Licensed Industrial Electrician opportunity, please submit your updated resume to jen@itecgroup.ca. Requirements
Applicants must hold a valid 442A or 309A Electrician Certificate of Qualification and have completed a registered electrician apprenticeship or equivalent licensed experience. The role requires at least three years of industrial maintenance experience in automated manufacturing, strong PLC troubleshooting skills, familiarity with industrial electrical and automation equipment, and availability for a weekly three-shift rotation at either facility.
