Role Description The Assistant Warehouse Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Toronto Area, Canada. This position supports daily warehouse operations, including supervising warehouse staff, coordinating receiving and shipping activities, and maintaining accurate inventory levels. The role involves monitoring stock movement, organizing storage areas, and ensuring proper handling of products and materials. The Assistant Warehouse Manager helps implement operational procedures, maintains safety and cleanliness standards, and supports equipment use, including forklifts, to maximize efficiency. The individual collaborates with logistics, procurement, and distribution teams to meet service and performance targets. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Stock Control and Inventory Control to maintain accurate records and minimize discrepancies. Candidates should possess skills in Inventory Management to plan, track, and optimize stock levels across warehouse locations. Candidates should possess skills in Operations Management to support workflow planning, process improvement, and resource allocation. Candidates should possess skills in Forklift Operation and safe material handling to move and organize products efficiently and securely. Strong organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail and accuracy in documentation. Experience in warehouse or distribution environments, preferably in food or consumer packaged goods. Knowledge of workplace safety practices and compliance with relevant regulations. Proficiency with warehouse management systems and basic computer applications. Effective communication and leadership skills, with the ability to guide and support diverse teams. Post-secondary education in logistics, supply chain, business, or a related field is an asset.
