We currently have exciting opportunities within our Pulp & Paper Division operations for Mechanical Engineering Students to join our teams in Saint John and Utopia, New Brunswick, for the Winter 2027 Work Term. Why join the Pulp & Paper Division: * Personal and Professional Development Opportunities * Career Growth Opportunities in Engineering, Leadership, Maintenance, and Many Other Disciplines * Employee Programs: Student Housing for Qualifying Candidates, Free Parking, Co-op Fee Reimbursement * Over $1.2 Billion Recently Invested to Modernize and Expand Our Mill Operations Across the Division RESPONSIBILITIES Tasks may include: * Project concept development and preliminary design assignments. * Assignments related to the development of project funding applications, justifications. * Participation in the management of construction contracts and the requisitioning of materials and services * Project construction, commissioning, and start-up support activities. * Working with contractors and mill personnel to determine scope, planning, and execution of work packages for mill projects. * Working with the reliability team to perform root cause failure analysis on mill equipment, as well as reviewing and optimizing the preventive maintenance program. QUALIFICATIONS Qualifications: * Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering and in good academic standing * Team player with a safety-first mindset * Ability to effectively time manage multiple projects. * Working knowledge of Microsoft Office * Long-term interest in an engineering career Founded in 1882, J.D.
