We're partnered with a fast-growing AI startup in Toronto looking to bring on a Global Controller to the team. This is hands on opportunity where you'll own the entire finance and accounting function reporting directly into the CEO. What you'll be doing Owning month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close Preparing and overseeing IFRS financial statements Leading the external audit end-to-end Building and scaling financial processes to support rapid growth Overseeing treasury, cash management, and working capital Managing all corporate tax filings including SR&ED Owning the budget and forecasting process Delivering board-ready financial reporting Who you are CPA designated (required) 8–12 years of progressive accounting experience Started your career in public accounting at the Manager level (Big 4 preferred) Have owned the Controller function at a VC-backed start up Hands-on — you're not above rolling up your sleeve Strong operator who thrives on ownership and building from scratch

The Global Controller will own the entire finance and accounting function, reporting directly to the CEO. Key duties include managing financial closes, overseeing IFRS statements, leading audits, and scaling financial processes for a growing AI startup.

Candidates must be CPA designated with 8-12 years of progressive accounting experience, including a background in Big 4 public accounting. Previous experience as a Controller at a VC-backed startup is required.
