Driver/Temporary Foreign Worker Support

Job Purpose With 90% of our workforce made up of temporary foreign workers, we require team members to ensure workers have access to medical appointments and assist with all paperwork required to ensure they are (or the Company is) re-imbursed for all charges. Our workers need people that can assist them in their lives in Canada while they are here. Duties and Responsibilities (including but are not limited to:) Be on call for any injuries requiring medical attention (transporting workers to the medical office – hospital, walk-in clinic, banks, grocery stores etc.) - a company vehicle will be provided. Ensuring all medical paperwork is completed and brought to the office for filing (within 48 hours of incident). Ensuring all workers have medical insurance, and other required documents. Ensuring forms, transfer documents, etc. are signed and brought to the office (specifically First Aid Reports, incident reports, transfer documents etc.). Assist the People Operations team with any task as needed: transporting workers to different appointments, grocery shopping, etc. Qualifications Fluent in English and Spanish (as our workers primarily speak Spanish). Must have a valid Class 5 license with no limitations, drivers abstract to be provided. Able to take directions from supervisors and management. Must be able to work shifts (days/nights) as needed (night shifts might be required from Mid-July – mid August). Must be a flexible team player who works well in a busy and demanding environment. Must be computer literate to assist workers with electronic documents as required. Must be able to handle confidential information. Working Conditions This is a farming environment, and days off may be limited during our picking season. Rain events where workers are not working are usually busy due to the lack of field work. Work hours are generally at least 45-50 hours per week and can be longer (based on waiting times out of our control). You’ll be on an on-call schedule until the harvest period (May – July) and again after harvest (September and October). A more consistent schedule will be established during harvest (July and August), when additional workers are available. We will make every effort to accommodate employees' scheduling requests based on business needs and individual preferences.

The role involves transporting temporary foreign workers to medical and personal appointments while ensuring all necessary medical and incident paperwork is completed and filed. You will also assist the People Operations team with various tasks to support the workers' daily lives in Canada.

Candidates must be fluent in both English and Spanish and possess a valid Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract. The position requires computer literacy, the ability to handle confidential information, and flexibility to work varying shifts in a demanding environment.
