JELD-WEN is currently seeking a Certified Journeyperson (Industrial Electrician) to join our growing team. WAGE: $41.89/hr DUTIES: Perform scheduled, predictive, and preventive maintenance on plant equipment and systems. Troubleshoot and repair/overhaul of electrical equipment and machine components. Assist other trades when needed to reduce downtime of the production equipment. Assemble, install, test and maintain electrical or electronic equipment in compliance with the regulatory requirements. Working on heights from ladders, scaffolds, boom lifts and roofs. Perform duties in a fast-paced work environments in various climatological conditions. Prioritize the tasks on hand and move from one task to another efficiently and accurately. Assist in maintaining the inventory of tools, equipment, and spares. Comply with JELD-WEN EH&S requirements and legal requirements including policies, standards, rules, and programs. Any other duties as required. QUALIFICATIONS: Industrial Electrician Red Seal Journeyman certificate. 5+ years experience in a maintenance manufacturing/production environment is preferred. Must be available to rotate shifts (Days and Evenings), on-call work, and overtime as required. Shift premium added when working evenings ($1.10/hr) Demonstrates team approach, behaviors and interpersonal skills that contribute to a positive team and work environment. Commitment to working in a safe manner while fostering a safe and respectful work environment. Strong troubleshooting skills. Good understanding of schematics/blueprints. Preferred instrumentation and calibration experience. Working knowledge of computer programs (i.e. CMMS, Excel, and Outlook) Troubleshooting on PLC’s, HMI’s, VFD’s and electronic circuits would be an asset.
