Job summary
Part-Time (~20–25 hours/week) | $30,000–$45,000/year base + potential bonuses | Reports to: Board of Directors Overview Beth Shalom Synagogue is looking for a warm, outgoing, and driven individual to grow our membership, bring energy to our programming, and deepen community engagement. This person is a relationship-builder and storyteller, someone who will inspire people to walk through our doors and keep coming back. This is, in essence, a sales and outreach position with a flair for community building and volunteerism. Key Responsibilities Plan, promote, and execute engaging synagogue programs and events Personally reach out to members, lapsed members, and potential newcomers Develop volunteer initiatives and committees Build relationships with donors, sponsors, and partners Work creatively with the rabbi, board, and Office Administrator to align programming with vision Lead and report on engagement metrics and goals High Holiday and fundraising campaign engagement support Compensation Considerations Base salary with opportunity for bonuses tied to: Membership growth Increased donations/sponsorships Successful event execution and attendance metrics A successful candidate may transition this role from part time to full time over the course of 18-24 months. Skills & Qualifications Charismatic, warm, and persuasive communicator Experience in program coordination, community organizing, or fundraising Willing to make phone calls, follow up personally, and be the face of the synagogue Strong organizational and planning skills Understanding of Jewish community life and traditions To apply: Please send a letter of interest and resume to Erin Wright, President, Beth Shalom Congregation, at [email protected].
