This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Fractional Marketing Lead based in Canada. We are looking for a strategic and hands-on Fractional Marketing Lead to drive growth for an established SaaS product serving individual traders and proprietary trading firms. In this contract-based role, you will build and lead the marketing function while working closely with the General Manager to shape strategy, prioritize investments, and deliver measurable results. You will take ownership of product launches, SEO and AI-driven search visibility, customer acquisition, and lifecycle marketing. This opportunity is ideal for an entrepreneurial marketer who thrives on autonomy, combines strategic thinking with execution, and enjoys turning data into actionable growth initiatives. You will help strengthen existing marketing channels, develop new partnerships, and convert more users into loyal, paying customers. The role offers approximately 20 hours per week, with the flexibility to make a meaningful impact in a growing digital business. \n Accountabilities Marketing Strategy and Leadership: Build and lead the marketing function, establish priorities, and collaborate with the General Manager to define growth objectives and allocate resources effectively. Product Launches: Own the planning and execution of new product launches, coordinating marketing activities to maximize visibility, engagement, and adoption. SEO and AI Search Visibility: Develop and implement search engine optimization (SEO) and answer engine optimization (AEO) strategies to improve discoverability across traditional search engines and AI-powered answer platforms. Performance Measurement: Monitor trial sign-ups, paid conversions, and performance across subscription plans to identify opportunities and guide marketing investments. Channel Development: Build and manage owned and earned marketing channels, including partnerships with trading educators, proprietary trading firms, and brokers. Lifecycle Marketing: Design and execute campaigns that nurture new sign-ups, improve conversion rates, increase customer retention, and encourage long-term engagement. Marketing Audit and Planning: Assess existing marketing activities during the first 90 days, establish a prioritized channel strategy, evaluate current AI search visibility, and prepare the next product launch. Continuous Optimization: Test and refine marketing initiatives using performance data, customer behavior, and measurable business outcomes. Requirements: At least 5 years of marketing experience in a growth marketing or performance marketing environment. At least 2 years of experience owning growth initiatives for a SaaS or subscription-based product. A degree in Marketing or a related field. Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategy while independently executing campaigns and operational tasks. Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and use insights to guide decisions and budget allocation. Experience with customer acquisition, conversion optimization, and measurable growth initiatives. Familiarity with SEO and an interest in improving brand visibility across AI-powered search and answer platforms. Experience developing marketing channels, managing partnerships, and building lifecycle campaigns is highly valuable. An entrepreneurial mindset, strong ownership, and the ability to work autonomously in a growing business environment. Excellent communication, collaboration, and prioritization skills, with the ability to work closely with leadership. Availability to work approximately 20 hours per week under a fractional contract arrangement. Candidates must be based in Canada or the United States within the Pacific, Mountain, Central, or Eastern time zones.
