We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated sales lead to join our team and be a part of our growing company by bringing cutting-edge robotic applications for housing solutions. About the Opportunity This position reports to the Chief Operating Officer. Responsibilities include: Key Responsibilities ● Tech-Driven B2B Sales: Driving market adoption of automated construction technologies, robotics, and turnkey systems to delivery housing. ● Pipeline Development: Sourcing and securing large-scale contracts with commercial buyers, real estate developers, and government bodies for multi-story residential housing projects. ● Cross-Functional Collaboration: Working closely with construction, development, engineering, and marketing teams to translate client needs into cutting-edge, actionable construction solutions. ● Lead Generation & Market Testing: Spearheading market testing efforts and managing virtual or field sales cycles from initial pitch to close. ● Create a new market – identifying early adopters, customers and partners, educate and raise awareness about new technologies and processes that can solve cost and time problems in the housing sector. Operational Responsibilities ● Develop annual Sales Business Development Plan & Operating Budget - Collaborating with the COO, CEO and Marketing to ensure Sales Business Development Plan aligns with Business Strategy, Marketing, and Finance for an integrated GTM plan. ● Develop the Sales Coverage Plan (GTM), ensuring insights on competition, product and service solutioning, and pricing offerings are positioned to achieve the sales operating plan expectations. ● Manage the end-to-end sales operating funnel and ensure accurate data is filled in daily, advancing KPIs and Goals as defined in the sales operating plan ● Identify sales and marketing coverage strategies to build an effective sales pipeline, working closely with Marketing ● Actively engaged in sales marketing events to ensure market visibility in the right places to align with sales coverage plan (ie: industry trade shows, conferences, curated events) ● Review effectiveness of market strategies and tactics by monitoring feedback from sales data, customer surveys, and benchmarking vs. major competitors to ensure sales plans are trending in the right direction ● Support the development of an Integrated Annual and Marketing Sales Plan, working with Marketing to ensure the right sales coverage model is in place to support the sales revenue and profitability growth plans. ● Manage the end to end customer relationship cycle, visit and manage customer relationships, negotiate complex contracts with customers, build support, and address stakeholders’ interests and concerns. Core Competencies & Skills ● Deep Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the construction and real estate development industry, including project development cycles, proformas and project economics, zoning and permitting, and the role of key engineering disciplines. Comfortable engaging with developers, housing providers, engineers, and other industry stakeholders on project feasibility, financial considerations, approvals, and delivery. Prior industry experience is required. ● Sales Operational Experience: Formal sales training skills in sales operational processes from trusted sources (ie: Challenger Selling, Solution Selling, Value Based Selling), etc. ● Relationship Management: Ability to build trust and maintain strong, long-term relationships with developers, architects, government leaders, and industry partners throughout complex, long-cycle sales and development processes. ● Customer Relationship Management Knowledge: experience in using CRM software tools like Microsoft Dynamics, Salesforce, Zoho, etc. Note: Knowledge of Zoho is an asset as this is our current platform for sales tracking ● Technical Communication: The capability to translate complex technical concepts - like construction robotics - into tangible business ROI (Return on Investment) for stakeholders. ● Microsoft Office Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel skills required for this role. ● Agility: Comfort operating in a rapidly evolving, innovative sector and sales strategies. Background & Qualifications ● Experience: 5-7+ years of experience in B2B construction, real estate sales, business development, or a related field. ● Location & Travel: Proximity to the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) is preferred to support customer and industry engagement. Regular travel within the GTA and occasional travel to project sites, customer meetings, conferences, and industry events is required. ● Education: Holds a diploma or degree in business, engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline. Certifications in sales skills will be given priority reviews. Benefits ● Dental plan ● Vision care ● Health care ● Competitive salary ● Discretionary bonus ● Paid time off ● Flexible hybrid work arrangement About You The right individual for this role will bring: ● 5-7+ years of experience delivering successful Sales in Construction, Real estate development with a background in residential construction. ● Degree or technical diploma in Engineering or Construction Technology is desirable; a business degree or additional certifications will be preferred ● Passionate about transforming the construction industry and proud to contribute to Canada’s roadmap for robotics in construction, helping advance the adoption of automation and robotics across the industry. ● Familiarity or existing relationships with developers, government, housing authorities, not for profits, and industry professionals. ● A hunter, this individual will bring a closing mindset and have the drive to deliver results and achieve targets. ● Able to work on detailed estimates/pricing, so a strong financial acumen is required. ● Excellent communication and writing skills ● Must be a strong team player and collaborator as the projects are long sales cycles involving multiple and diverse stakeholders across Horizon Legacy as well as with stakeholders involved in the purchasing cycle. ● Strong knowledge of residential construction management, budgeting, and design-build process ● Understands the importance of accurate data and is a role model in data leadership across all system-related practices and processes, and vigilantly ensures daily updates are in CRM support systems so all customer contacts and required sales gate data are entered on a timely basis. ● Experience working within structured B2B sales processes and applying established sales methodologies such as Challenger, Solution Selling, Value-Based Selling, or similar approaches within complex, long-cycle sales environments. ● Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills; customer-oriented.
