Recruitment Partners is seeking a Senior Accountant to support core accounting, payroll, billing, and reporting functions within a dynamic, service‑driven environment. This role is ideal for a detail‑oriented professional who enjoys continuous improvement, thrives in a collaborative team setting, and brings a proactive approach to problem‑solving. This role is responsible for supporting payroll administration, regulatory compliance, billing, commission calculations, cash flow reporting, and general accounting activities. The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting fundamentals, experience with payroll and compliance activities, and advanced Excel skills. Experience within payroll, staffing, recruitment, or other service‑based industries is considered a strong asset. Your Success Will Be Defined By Your Ability To Support process improvement initiatives and maximize the effectiveness of accounting and ERP systems Review timesheets and payroll submissions to ensure completeness and accuracy Perform payroll reviews and validate deductions, taxes, and related calculations Process and administer Records of Employment and respond to payroll‑related inquiries Prepare and reconcile GST/HST filings and related remittances Complete payroll source deduction reporting and reconciliations Prepare and review customer invoices to ensure billing accuracy and completeness Calculate and review internal commission reports and supporting schedules Support revenue recognition and billing processes in accordance with internal policies Prepare and maintain cash flow reporting and monitor daily cash positions Identify and communicate significant cash flow trends, risks, and variances Prepare and review reconciliations for bank accounts, accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets, and intercompany balances Investigate financial variances and support month‑end and year‑end close activities Your strengths include: Diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline Experience in accounting, payroll, or financial reporting functions Experience within staffing, recruitment, payroll, or professional services environments considered an asset Strong knowledge of payroll processing and timesheet management systems Experience with CRA compliance requirements, including payroll remittances, GST/HST filings, and ROE administration Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks Online Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUPs, and financial analysis tools Experience with Power BI or other reporting and visualization tools considered an asset Strong analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving skills Positive attitude with a willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to a collaborative team environment If you are interested in this role and meet the above criteria, please click the "Apply" button to send your resume directly to Candice Rookes.
