Summary The Senior Parts Journeyman is responsible for delivering outstanding customer service and parts knowledge to internal and external customers. You will lead a team of parts personnel, ensuring efficient operations and timely fulfillment of orders. The Senior Parts Journeyman is required to respond to customer enquiries, aid with customer orders, coordinate product deliveries and efficiently find ways to source parts that are not kept within our inventory.

Handle parts requirements of customers through counter service and sales. Must be able to work 40+ hours, especially during the heavy season. Verify receiving shipments by checking order against packing list. Assist in keeping parts clean and shelf section area stocked and orderly. Follow-up on shortages and expedite through reporting to parts manager. Supply service technicians with parts ordered through parts requisition forms. Must be able to operate a forklift to move parts in and out of warehouse and parts department. Must be able to do heavy lifting of equipment parts and tools as required from time to time. Able to understand and comply with posted rules and procedures. Generate sales while maintaining a high level of customer service. Participate in merchandising and promotional activities. Ensure accuracy in all transactions, inventory, and procedures. Ensures that the same high-quality level of service provided to outside customers is also provided to internal dealership customers. Participate in all manner of store maintenance. Maintain a high level of product and service knowledge. Handles customer complaints immediately and according to the Company’s guidelines. Lead and supervise a team of parts personnel, including assigning tasks and providing guidance. Conduct training sessions to ensure staff members are knowledgeable about inventory procedures, safety protocols, and equipment operation. Performs other duties as required. Requirements High school diploma or GED. Parts Technician Red Seal with 5 years or more experience or 5-10 years direct experience in a parts capacity. Ag & Construction experience is considered an asset. Shipping and warehousing experience. Must have exceptional communication ability dealing with customers. Strong oral and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Strong health & safety ethics and work practices. Thorough knowledge of mechanical devices, either industrial, marine, or automotive is required. Ability to offer knowledgeable information to our customers via phone or in person. Knowledge of ordering, receiving, and stocking inventory is required. Must have a valid class 5 driver’s certificate. Ability to operate forklifts, dollies, shop tools, and other shop equipment competently and safely. Willingness to assist other staff as appropriate and as workloads dictate. Work Conditions Travel may be required. Overtime as required. Lifting or moving up to 50lbs may be required. Hazards associated with trade. Ability to use ladders, footstools, etc. Ability to stand for extended periods. Ability to walk, bend and squat. Ability to push and pull. Ability to twist and reach overhead. Ability to grasp and squeeze. Intermittent exposure to outdoor weather conditions. May be exposed to high levels of noise.
