Job Description & Summary
At PwC, our people in operations consulting specialize in providing consulting services on optimizing operational efficiency and effectiveness. These individuals analyze client needs, develop operational strategies, and offer guidance and support to help clients streamline processes, improve productivity, and drive business performance.
We are seeking an experienced professional to support client engagements focused on complex manufacturing operations in highly constrained, mission‑critical environments. This role helps design and embed decision‑support capabilities that combine quantitative rigor with operational judgment, process understanding, and digital enablement.
The Opportunity
As a Consulting Operations, Manager, unlock your potential and embrace the chance to drive meaningful outcomes that’ll elevate your career. Your role will include, but isn’t limited to:
Decision Framing
Structure complex demand, supply, production, and logistics challenges as decision problems under uncertainty. Evaluate trade-offs across capacity, inventory, service levels, fill rate, yield, waste, cost-to-serve, and working capital. Apply the right level of analytical rigor based on decision criticality, data quality, business impact, and time constraints.
Applied Modelling, Lean Six Sigma and Operational Improvement
Apply quantitative and operational improvement techniques, including supply chain network design, production scheduling, line balancing, throughput and constraint analysis, OEE improvement, capacity planning, and yield/loss and waste modelling. Apply knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies to identify operational inefficiencies and support performance improvement opportunities. Translate analytical outputs into practical manufacturing and supply chain recommendations. Develop decision-ready insights that support operating model design, performance improvement, and implementation planning.
Technology & Tools
Embed analytics into scalable decision-support solutions and digital workflows. Work with technical teams to define data flows, KPI/reporting logic, solution requirements, and integration points across systems such as ERP, MES, CMSS, WMS, and TMS, where applicable. Identify and support the deployment of innovative AI-enabled solutions, including LLM-based and agentic AI use cases in manufacturing operations, with appropriate governance, explainability, and business alignment.
Team & Client Leadership
Lead and coach project teams, oversee work quality, and resolve delivery issues. Engage directly with client stakeholders to align insights, solution design, and recommendations with business needs. Communicate complex operational and analytical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Work effectively across business, operations, technology, and analytics stakeholder groups.
What You'll Bring
Your skills, knowledge, and experiences are what set you apart. Here's what we look for:
Degree in operations management, industrial engineering, supply chain management, engineering, business, or a related field. Lean Six Sigma certification, such as Yellow Belt, Green Belt, Black Belt, or equivalent, is considered an asset. Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, supply chain, operations improvement, digital transformation, analytics, or consulting. Industry Expertise: Experience applying quantitative analysis, operational improvement, or digital solutions to supply chain, manufacturing, or complex planning problems in Consumer Products/CPG, Food & Beverage, Aerospace, or other industrial manufacturing environments. Demonstrated ability to bridge operational context and analytics. Prior experience managing small teams and contributing to client‑facing engagements. Familiarity of enterprise platforms, system integration concepts, Ai, data architecture, and digital workflow enablement is an asset. The successful candidate requires fluency in English, in addition to French as they will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking clients, colleagues and/or stakeholders during the course of their employment with PwC Canada

We’re committed to providing accommodation throughout the application, interview, and employment process. If you require accommodation to be at your best, please let us know during the application process.
The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in recruiting is just getting started, so we know you have questions about how and why we use it. At certain points during our recruiting process, we rely on AI to improve your experience. This could be during resume review or curating personalized job recommendations, asking you clarifying questions via a chatbot or during our interview scheduling to improve your experience. Our use of AI helps ensure we combat bias by evaluating candidates equally and fairly, without seeing identity information, such as your name, or gender for example). AI also helps us better predict successful hires by reviewing all applicants for a role and the relationship between your skills, experience and likely success at PwC Canada. While AI supports parts of our recruitment process, final hiring decisions always involve human review. For more information about our use and protection of your data, please refer to our Privacy Policy (https://www.pwc.com/ca/en/privacy-policy.html).
