Fathom Film Group is an award-winning, fun and collaborative production company specializing in bold documentary storytelling and innovative digital media. We create content that sparks global conversations, with a focus on True Crime among other genres.

Position Summary

Fathom Film Group is seeking an experienced YouTube Producer to lead the growth and development of a new channel focused on true crime / thriller content. This producer will oversee channel strategy, production, and audience engagement, working closely with our creative team. The ideal candidate is both a strategic thinker and a hands-on producer with a deep understanding of YouTube’s ecosystem, and knows thumbnails, A/B testing and etc.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive YouTube growth strategy to build audience, subscribers, and watch time.
• Oversee the production pipeline, from concept development to publishing, ensuring all content aligns with channel goals and brand voice.
• Lead a small team to create, optimize, and repurpose existing content for maximum reach.
• Monitor analytics to identify trends, adjust strategy, and drive continual performance improvements.
• Research and pitch new content ideas in the true crime and other verticals, staying on top of emerging trends and audience interests.
• Collaborate with editors, designers, and other creatives to deliver high-quality, engaging videos and thumbnails.

Qualifications

• Absolute must: Proven experience managing and growing a YouTube channel (minimum 2–3 years preferred).
• **Must have an expertise in true crime, thriller, and adjacent storytelling genres.
• Strong knowledge of YouTube strategy, including SEO, algorithm trends, metadata, and monetization.
• Hands-on production experience (video editing, content packaging, producing thumbnails, captions, overseeing post-production).
• Exceptional organizational and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
• Comfortable working remotely and collaborating across time zones.
