What will you do?
In this role, you will help deliver critical building control, fire, and security systems by installing, wiring, and supporting system startup activities in the field. Your work will directly contribute to system reliability, customer satisfaction with commitment to safety, and the successful delivery of complex service and installation projects. Responsibilities include:

You will perform or assist with installation and checkout of electric and electronic components for systems and service installed jobs and service agreements associated with automatic building control systems, fire management, security CCTV, audio and energy management systems. May assist in emergency troubleshooting of systems.

You will be expected to install or assist with the installation of conduit, wire, cable, equipment, components and devices associated with fire, security, and energy management systems.

Install and mount electric/ electronic controls, devices, panels, sensors, and components.

Perform interlock wiring as required. Perform wiring check out and assists with systems start-up. Performs tasks related to the panel fabrication.

Disconnect and dismantle electric/ electronic instruments, panels, sensors, components, as required.

Coordinate with or advise supervision about the requirements for material and supplies to ensure timely delivery to the job site.
What will you need to succeed?
-
Possess a High-school diploma or GED. Associates degree or other technical training and mechanical aptitude is preferred.

Good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Must be physically able to climb, work in high places and/or confined spaces.

Must be able to distinguish various colored electric components.

Pipe bending experience is essential.

Capability to acquire local certifications and licenses.

Membership in Union IBEW 424

A valid and unrestricted G/Class 5 driver’s licence is required to participate in the Siemens Fleet Program and to operate a company vehicle for travel to customer sites within assigned region(s).
