Edmonton Public Library is looking for an enthusiastic, collaborative, people-focused team player to join the Employee Experience team as an Organization Development Consultant. What we're looking for:
Reporting to and working closely with the Executive Director, Employee Experience, this is a hands-on role providing support to the development and implementation of organizational talent programs/processes and organizational change initiatives. Projects you will be working on include: Designing and facilitating employee journey mapping to identify key touchpoints and moments that matter across the employee lifecycle, translating insights into actionable recommendations that improve the employee experience. Participating in the design and development of EPL’s Employee Experience Framework. Participating in the design and building of a comprehensive Leadership Development Model. Reviewing and building out the manager competency model, ensuring it is aligned with the Leadership Development Model and reflects the skills and behaviours needed to effectively lead in our environment. Reviewing the Employee Recognition and Appreciation Program to ensure it is meaningful and aligned with organizational values. Planning and executing meaningful staff appreciation events that celebrate and recognize our employees. Participating in business readiness and change management activities in support of our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) implementation. Providing change management support as required for talent and learning-related initiatives, including the use of appropriate change management methodology. Participating in the development and implementation of change management and communication plans for HR and talent-related programs and initiatives. Supporting the development of EPL’s listening strategy including Employee Engagement & Diversity Survey activities and actions, supporting the development of learning initiatives as required. Supporting learning operations with the development, delivery, and evaluation of staff training, including the creation of the annual EPL learning calendar. As the ideal candidate you will bring: Excellent customer service orientation, including strong interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Effective verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to successfully communicate with different audiences. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with the ability to re-prioritize when necessary utilizing excellent time management and organizational skills. Strong project management skills including the ability to plan, coordinate, and deliver multiple concurrent initiatives. Forward-thinking, innovative, and action-oriented. Strong facilitation skills, including the ability to lead workshops / focus groups and engage with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. Strong technology skills, including the MS Suite of products (eg. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, Outlook).
University Degree in a related field (organization development, business administration, human resources, leadership, etc.) Certified Professional in Human Resources (CPHR) or Certified Training & Development Professional (CTDP) designation is considered an asset. Minimum 5 years of related experience in organization development, human resources, leadership development, and/or learning and development, including experience in HR program development (e.g. performance management, career development, employee engagement, recognition, etc.). Understanding and experience with OD principles, adult learning theory, and change management methodologies (e.g., PROSCI/ADKAR, Kotter). Experience supporting ERP or large-scale technology implementations from a change management perspective is an asset. Experience working in a unionized environment and library/not-for-profit is an asset. Hours of Work: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Pay Band: $95,630 to $119,538 per annum.
