Key Responsibilities

• Work with the Supervisor to plan and organize weekly work schedules.
• Guide and train greenhouse staff on job duties and safe work practices.
• Help assign daily tasks and make sure everyone understands what needs to be done.
• Motivate your team to meet daily and hourly production goals while maintaining quality standards.
• Keep the work area clean, organized, and ready for the next day.
• Learn to safely operate motorized equipment as required.
• Communicate with the Supervisor to solve any work or task-related issues.
• Take an active role in production work, including:
• Sticking cuttings, seeding, planting, and transplanting
• Spacing and moving plants
• Pinching, picking orders, loading trucks, and preparing for delivery
• Counting inventory and preparing materials for production
• General cleaning, maintenance, and greenhouse upkeep
• Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Self-motivated, organized, and adaptable.
• Physically capable of pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Detail-oriented with a positive, can-do attitude.
• Able to work in all weather conditions.
• Basic plant knowledge is an asset, but not required.
• Previous production or greenhouse experience preferred.
• Basic computer skills (additional experience is an asset).
