Garland Commercial Ranges is looking for a Supervisor, Production IV on the Day Shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm)!
As a Production Supervisor IV, this candidate will be responsible for quality and quantity produced in the production area. This candidate will also fulfill the total amount of units to be built in accordance with the production plan. Also, this role will have further control on the workflow, checking the availability of materials, also coordinating the activities of multiple production departments to ensure safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping goals are obtained. This role will also participate in the New Products Introduction process.
Reporting to the Production Manager, this position is 100% based in our Mississauga, Ontario facility. This is a full-time, permanent role that is an addition to headcount.
Major Accountability:
- Responsible for quality and quantity produced in one or multiple production departments.
- Ensure safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping goals are obtained.
- Fulfill the total amount of units to be built in accordance with the production plan.
- Participates in New Products Introduction.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate production activities, people, processes, and materials to complete production schedules according to process specifications
- Direct workers on handling the workflow
- Direct multi-functions in manufacturing as well as improvements for one or multiple departments
- Ensure that the total amount of units to be built is fulfilled in accordance with the production plan
- Ensure the accomplishment of the SMS System as well as promote safety behaviours
- Checking the availability of materials
- Supervises and mentors new supervisors
Qualifications

Specialized Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities

Engineering Degree, Lean Six Sigma, New Product Introduction Process, and participate in internal and external corrective action processes.

Excellent software applications skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Knowledge of ISO 9001-2015, ISO 14000

Knowledge and understanding of workplace safety and team building.

Education and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in engineering
-
5-8 years of experience required

Manufacturing experience is a must

Working Conditions

Normal computer use.

Office and production environment.

Must be able to stand/walk/sit for extended periods.
