About the role
P&C Mergers & Acquisitions Actuary opening in Montreal. Perform due diligence for reinsurance and private equity M&A deals, including evaluating actuarial reports, dataset, and models to determine the sufficiency of target reserve estimates, loss ratio forecasts, and pricing and underwriting methodologies; measure risks related to prospective transactions using stochastic modeling techniques; analyze exposure and loss data to identify meaningful business trends; prepare executive-level reports, including creating data visualizations; deliver presentations to senior leadership and C-suite stakeholders; contribute to client-facing new business discussions and proposal preparation. Ideal candidate is FCIA or FCAS with 4-12 years of P&C actuarial experience including either M&A, Reinsurance, Investments, or other client-facing transactions. (PR13098B)
