The Opportunity

Highspring is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join a strategic enterprise data modernization initiative focused on cloud adoption, data platform transformation, and scalable analytics solutions. In this role, you will help design, build, and optimize modern cloud-native data platforms leveraging Snowflake, Azure, and related technologies. You will work on highly visible enterprise initiatives that support critical business data, modernization programs, and next-generation data engineering capabilities. This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on data engineering professional who combines deep technical expertise with a passion for cloud technologies, automation, and large-scale transformation programs.

What You'll Do

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows. Build and optimize cloud-based data solutions using Snowflake and Azure services. Develop data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes across enterprise data platforms. Support large-scale cloud migration and platform modernization initiatives. Collaborate with architecture, infrastructure, and application development teams to implement data engineering best practices. Develop automation tools and operational solutions using Python. Improve platform performance, reliability, scalability, and cost efficiency. Implement and support CI/CD processes and deployment pipelines for data workloads. Contribute to data governance, security, and operational excellence initiatives. Participate in architecture discussions and technology roadmap planning. Partner with stakeholders across multiple teams to deliver enterprise-scale data solutions.

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or equivalent experience. 7+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Platform Engineering, or a related discipline. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience operating within complex enterprise environments. Passion for modern data platforms, cloud technologies, and continuous learning.

Core Skills Required

Strong hands-on experience with Snowflake in enterprise-scale environments. Experience working with Azure cloud services. Expertise building and supporting modern data pipelines and ETL/ELT frameworks. Advanced SQL and relational database knowledge. Advanced Python development and scripting experience. Experience working with large-scale data environments and distributed platforms. Strong understanding of data modeling, performance optimization, and data architecture principles. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices. Knowledge of cloud-native data engineering patterns and best practices.
