The typical salary range for this position is $62 400.00 - $85 800.00 annually. The base salary offered will be determined based on the candidate’s job-related knowledge, skills, education, experience, and internal equity considerations.

Summary
The Human Resources Advisor provides HR support to assigned stores and distribution centres, including conducting investigations and managing grievances and harassment cases. The role also works closely with Store Operations to support recruitment for non‑union Department Managers and Assistant Store Managers, as well as coordinating job postings for unionized positions.
Specific Responsibilities
Under the direction of the Manager, H.R. & L.R., assists various management personnel on interpretation of their collective agreements. Investigates and evaluates grievances, recommends solution in collaboration with Management, and participates in arbitration as required. Actively recruits internal and external candidates for the Retail In-Training Program (retail management roles), Assistant Store Managers, and pharmacy positions. Conducts detailed investigations into harassment complaints and other employee relations matters. Provides guidance to the Store Operations team on all HR matters, under the direction of the Manager, H.R. & L.R. Assists with HR activities related to opening and closing retail and distribution operations. Prepares disciplinary letters for retail management, under the direction of the Manager, H.R. & L.R. Collaborates with retail management, the union, and service departments to resolve issues at store and distribution centre levels. Ensures work practices comply with applicable laws, regulations, and collective agreements. Supports training programs and initiatives for retail stores and distribution centres. Identifies opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer service.
Qualifications
College diploma or University studies in Human Resources 3 - 5 years experience in a retail environment CHRP designation an asset. Experience within a unionized environment. Excellent written and verbal communication skills Intermediate PC skills in Microsoft Office Strong interpersonal skills, including composure under stress Attention to detail a must Bilingual an asset Working knowledge of SAP an asset Ability to travel as needed is required
Relationships
Internally has regular contact with Head Office Department including Payroll, Benefits, Store Operations, and Corporate and Divisional Labour Relations on a variety of issues.
External: Customers, and union representatives
