Are you experienced in customer service and food handling, and passionate about mental health? We would love to have you join the PCFC team!
We independently operate a coffee & snack shop within the Regional section of Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care, primarily serving patients hot & cold drinks and a variety of snack foods.
Your Responsibilities Would Include
Opening and closing of Canteen, operating the computerized till, and keeping an accurate record of all floats, deposits, and money transactions. Preparing and serving all items available at the Canteen, and maintaining a high level of customer service. Accepting and checking deliveries, replenishing and rotating stock using the FIFO method. Cleaning and sanitizing the service area and equipment, and keeping the entire work area clean. Additional tasks required, including but not limited to: completion of e-learning, weekly inventory. Being self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision to enable smooth operation of the canteen services. Interacting with others in a meaningful and compassionate manner. Adhering to all PCFC & relevant customer policies, procedures, expectations, and Code of Ethics including confidentiality guidelines.
Requirements Include The Following
Must have a family member or personal experience of living with mental illness and/or addictions and be willing to disclose. Must be available to work a variable work schedule including days, evenings, weekends, and some holidays. Also have the ability to pick up additional shifts if needed. Able to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills, and basic computer skills together with a professional manner remaining focused on client needs. Hold the Food Handler Certification, or be willing to acquire it. The successful candidate must provide a satisfactory Criminal Reference Check prior to starting work. Ability to perform physical aspects of the position and to maintain regular attendance. Willingness to attend and complete all mandatory training.
