About the role
Job Description: Reporting to the Electrical Director, the Electrical Project Manager leads electrical coordination and project delivery from design through close-out, owning schedule, budget, site coordination and change management. This is a hands-on electrical project leader responsible for drawing review, pricing validation and proactive problem-solving. Partners with the Senior Electrical Estimator during handoff to carry scope and risk into execution, coordinating consultants, contractors, foremen, and project coordinators to deliver projects efficiently. What you'll do Lead electrical delivery across assigned construction projects from design through turnover Perform detailed drawing reviews and coordination using Bluebeam Revu Identify scope gaps, constructability issues and cost risk in consultant designs Review load calculations, distribution layouts and system strategies Coordinate with utilities and support permit/AHJ approvals Support bid review and pricing validation with the Senior Electrical Estimator, interpreting data from Accubid, Patabid, or equivalent estimating software Manage electrical scope during construction including RFIs, shop drawings, and field issue resolution Monitor installation quality, code compliance and schedule milestones Coordinate material delivery, site readiness and contractor manpower planning, maintaining clear communication with Superintendents, Foremen, Coordinators and project teams throughout the project lifecycle Review and approve change orders and progress billings Lead value engineering while protecting reliability and lifecycle performance Ensure commissioning, deficiencies and project closeout documentation are completed Provide direction and mentorship to Project Coordinators and communicate with stakeholders What you'll bring Field Safety Representative – FSR-A certification (required) 10+ years of experience in electrical construction or project delivery Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field, or Red Seal Interprovincial Electrician certification with equivalent industry experience Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) and advanced proficiency in Bluebeam Revu for detailed drawing review, coordination markups and document analysis Working knowledge of electrical estimating software (Accubid, Patabid, or equivalent) with the ability to understand quantities, labour units and cost structures Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes and regulations Demonstrated ability to review consultant drawings and specifications and identify scope gaps, constructability issues and cost risk Experience supervising Project Coordinators and coordinating with consultants and vendors on active construction projects Experience supporting procurement, bid evaluation and financial oversight of electrical scopes Strong leadership, communication and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Proficiency in English (written and verbal) Salary Range: $130,000- $150,000 About The Company: Since 2016, Kovac Electrical Group Ltd. has built a strong reputation as a trusted electrical contractor in the Lower Mainland of British Columbia, known for delivering work to the highest standard.
